Only So Much
05:34
|
|||
You play the part of Sisyphus so well
Rolling stones inside a living hell
I wonder why you call me anyway
Cos you don't hear a single word I say
There’s only so much I can do
Only so much I can take
There’s only so much I believe is true
Are you waiting for the starting gun
For a race that you may never run
When the sands of time have blown away
There's no bringing back a single day
There’s only so much I can do
Only so much I can take
There’s only so much I believe is true
I won't help if you won’t help yourself
So take a chance and climb down from the shelf
There’s only so much I can do
Only so much I can take
There’s only so much I believe is true

Dreaming Of...
04:39
|
|||
Dreaming of forgotten times
Holy wars and unsolved crimes
Oh never mind
Sacrifice or be the one
To hand across a loaded gun
Is no fun
Questions, answers
Show me the way
Taking chances
Lead me astray
Thinking of what may have been
Acting out every scene
Won't change a thing
A loving cup is nothing new
But breaking up is so hard to do
Mr Walker crooned
Questions, answers
Show me the way
Taking chances
Lead me astray

Time Marches On
04:31
|
|||
I see clouds on the horizon
Is a storm heading our way
Could there be a silver lining
Who can really say
Autumn fades to winter
Shadows stretch away
Spring grows into summer
Lengthening the day
Big wheel always turning
Carries us along
Apollo slowly burning
Time it marches on
Buildings fall to ruin
For the crime of being old
Foundations they remember
Stories left untold
Big wheel always turning
Carries us along
Apollo slowly burning
Time it marches on
You may wish that nothing changes
But time still marches on
An eternal rearranging
Of a never-ending song

The Straits Of Magellan
03:25
|
|||
The Straits of Magellan are many weeks gone
Only three ships made it through
Scattered by weather and Spanish deceit
We drift into oceans new
Farewell to my brother and a curse on the men
Who sent him to an early grave
But we made our own share of murderous raids
I hope there’s still a soul to save
The tempest was raging at the end of the world
The Hoop was taken with all hands
Disease and starvation, just nine now remain
God we pray for sight of land
There in the distance between sea and sky
Is that a vision I can see?
But so do the others, we laugh as we cry
What now will become of me
